Hatha Yoga

Dear Elina, I just want to express my gratitude for the many wonderful hours I have spent at the Life Centre in the last year. While I started yoga as a complete beginner, it has quickly become part of my life. Yoga has not only helped me overcome chronic back problems, but it has given me a sense of physical and mental wellbeing that I didn't have before. Thanks to the experience, skill, and positive support of teachers at the Life Centre, I look forward to attending several different classes each week. Finding yoga and, more specifically, finding the Life Centre has been such a gift that I recomment it to everyone. - With love, Christine

Yoga time is the only time of the day (of my life, actually!) completely dedicated to myself. Only during Yoga am I able to focus on myself, as I draw my attention to each position and to the muscles exercising each time. This means two things: - first, all other thoughts are shut out (as the mind can only think of one thing at a time!). Therefore I can truly get away of things that stress and worry me and relax - second, I have started to get to know and love my body. I have started to love myself! THANK YOU..

I have been suffering from migraines for the past ten years. I have visited numerous doctors and have had an MRI scan in order to diagnose the problem. All this without success. I decided to start Yoga and during these sessions Ms. Pavlidou had shown me certain exercises to do which would help ease the pain. During my latest attack I put these exercises to test. I applied them and lay down to sleep. Two hours later I woke up without a migraine, something that has never happened before. This was definitely the first time that a migraine attack lasted only a few hours. I have only just recently begun taking Yoga and I am confident that, at last I have found a non medical cure to, if not rid my migraines, at least alleviate the pain. Thanks Elina!! ..

Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy yoga was fantastic exercise for the ever changing pregnant body, mind and soul. I believe that the calm and security that developed through the guided breathing and gentle movements transferred from me to my baby. Our supportive instructor, the friendly class environment, combined with the non impact routine which provided toning and conditioning as well as relaxation and visualization, all prepared me for the demands of childbirth. I'm certain that prenatal yoga ensured a peaceful pregnancy for me as it alleviated pregnancy discomforts and in addition, I feel that the visualization and relaxation segments contributed to my smooth and quick journey into motherhood - Nataly

I was really disappointed when my doctor told me that the baby was in a breech position at 34 weeks of pregnancy, as this was the reason for delivering my first baby with a Cesarian section. The very same afternoon, during yoga class, Elina, suggested a few exercises for the right positioning of the baby. While practicing these exercises I could feel the baby moving! It really worked! Even my doctor was surprised the next day, when he realized that the baby was back in the right position - Aspasia Papadema

Baby Yoga and Massage
I love waking up my son and singing to him “MR SUN” we learned this song at baby yoga. My son wakes up smiling and bouncing when he hears this song. Thank you Elina for Baby Yoga. You have helped me bond with my son. - Erini

I wanted to let you know that after Maxim's first baby yoga class (he was exactly 5 months old), he became more aware of his feet and began grabbing them. Moreover, the day after class, he made his first turn from his back to his tummy without any help at all! Since then, he has been twisting and turning from back to tummy and from tummy to back with much excitement. He loves to move. I believe that it was a direct result of Baby Yoga class! The class is also a great social environment for babies and I recommend it all moms, dads, and babies. ..

Jake laughed for the first time at his Baby Yoga and Massage sessions... After just a couple of classes we were able to use the techniques we'd learned to relax him at home and also to help him sleep through the night. Elina has given our baby a special time to discover, experience and enjoy his own body in a natural, fun and relaxed atmosphere. He really looks forward to his weekly yoga classes. - Nema
